About Me

About Me

This is Sara Sees – a place where I can share stories of my own, real-life adventures, both big and small. My way of inspiring people to see the world by sharing insight, first-hand experience, and a little eye candy. My way of showing young people that it IS possible to travel affordably, whether its studying abroad, doing a hosted tour, or traveling on their own.

Since studying abroad in Innsbruck, Austria for 6 weeks after my freshman year of college, I’ve had a constant desire to travel the world, and have managed to make my dreams a reality. I can’t stay in one place too long, so I’m always saving up for my next adventure – whether that be traveling around Europe for a month or heading to New Orleans to see One Direction in concert at the New Orleans Superdome (yep, that happened). I don’t stay at fancy hotels or eat at fancy restaurants; I travel affordably and still manage to have magical experiences and make life-long memories.

A little more about me…

I’ve been blessing the world with my existence for 25 years. You’re welcome. I talk too fast and daydream too much. I am a coffee addict, semi-professional thrift shopper, and an avid traveler. I love people watching, guys with accents, and bustling city streets. I have daydreams about Chick-Fil-A way too often. Puppy videos on YouTube are my jam. I’m a huge Harry Potter nerd. I dream of one day having a pet panda bear. I have hoarding tendencies. I can speak Spanish but am too lazy to regularly do so. Jennifer Lawrence is my spirit animal. I’m a Graphic Designer. I think I’m a lot more clean and organized than I actually am. I have absolutely no self control when it comes to pizza. I love huge crowds just as much as I love being in my bed alone watching Netflix on a Friday night.

This is my story.

  • Hii Sara, I’ve tagged you for the Liebster Award! (Apologies if you’ve already done it). It took me several weeks to get around to doing it after I was tagged so no rush, it was actually funner than I thought it would be :)

    • Aw, this is great! Thanks! I’m going to do it as soon as I can! I’m excited!

  • Hi Sara! Found your comment in another blog and thought I would pay a visit – I looooove the layout of your blog! Can’t wait to start seeing more! xo

    • Hey Kana, thanks so much! Not sure how I missed your comment but it’s so sweet! Being a graphic designer, the way my blog looks is super important to me hahaha, so I’m glad you like (or at least I hope you still do, as you posted this like a year ago..)

  • Hi Sara! I’m so happy to have found your blog. The first thing that drew me in is the fact that you’re an expat. I am as well…living in the Czech Republic. The second thing that hooked me was the fact that you said you daydream about Chick-Fil-A. Honestly, it’s one of my most missed things about America! Ha ha. I am looking forward to regularly following along. :)

    • Not sure why I’m just seeing this but it’s made my day :) I hope you’re still following along. By the way, went home for Christmas and FINALLY got to have Chick Fil A and after so much time apart, it was absolutely GLORIOUS!

    To whom at my concern:

My name is Allie Kolb and I work in casting for a popular international travel show. The show is comprised of following people who are moving from one country to another. It can be a temporary move (6 months or so) or a permanent move. There would be monetary compensation involved for the people featured on the show. I’m looking to cast people who have moved abroad recently and wanted to see if you or anyone you know fits that bill. If you have any questions you can contact me via skype at alliekolb.leopard, or email me at AllieKolb@leopardusa.com

    Thanks in advance!
